In this guide, you’ll discover everything you need to know about Barcelona city, what to visit during your stay in Barcelona? Where to sleep in Barcelona? Where to party in Barcelona !!? And well you are in the right place 🙂 You will know everything that is going to help you to visit Barcelona easily!

1) Visit Barcelona for a weekend

Spain and of course Barcelona offer an incredible amount of wonderful places to visit. It is part of these little jewels that must be discovered absolutely! I propose a visit with plenty of trick to know to visit this incredible city.

Besides bars, cafés, restaurants and nightclubs, Barcelona is a city of culture and strong traditions. Often described as the most modern city in the country, you will notice in a single afternoon its great cultural diversity by the number of languages heard in the streets!

The visit of Barcelona offers a multitude of things to discover, museums, gardens, monuments … as well as the superb and famous architectures work of the master Gaudi!

You can choose between bus, shuttle, metro or taxi. The shuttle bus takes you to Plaza Catalunya, SepĂşlveda-Urgell, Plaza Espanya, Gran VĂa-Urgell, and Universitat, where you can see which station is closest to your accommodation.

2) Visit the Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, the Sagrada Familia … Barcelona

You will find many things on Barcelona streets, men statues, portraitist painters or caricaturists. As in all my articles, I like to make you discover this wonderful city using maps ( Google maps will help us for that)

The Ramblas

The most famous avenue in Barcelona. It is a must, and it is besides in this sector that I advise you to stay in Barcelona (I give good addresses of accommodation a little lower in this article).

I must tell you (before you literally pluck) that there are plenty of little restaurants and shops all along the Ramblas of wonderful city but because of the immense popularity of the latter and the excessive volume of visitors, prices are very high and generally you will not have the same quality of service as in a less tourist area. Opt for parallel streets

So squeeze your belt a few moments, if you go to the port (ramblas to the coast), left (go to the last buildings of the ramblas and turn left) you will find several small restaurants very nice! One last little info is the paradise of pickpockets and fake artists so do not be fooled!

The Boqueria market & Gothic quarter

A wonderful covered market with very good products: vegetables, fish, cheeses, cold meats, condiments … You absolutely have every thing needed for your fruit juices (fruit juices are 2 € cheaper inside).
One more thing to do is to go to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona where the remains of the medieval Jewish quarter and the synagogue (closed at 3 pm and free on Sunday afternoon before 3 pm), the architecture is incredible, and the little alleyways! A few steps away you have the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, Placita de la Seu.
